I want to express my appreciation for your steadfast support of the Video Franchise Reform legislation that just passed out of the Senate Commerce Committee. This pro-consumer legislation is long overdue and with your leadership, we are one step closer to realizing true cable competition.
As a private citizen of the Commonwealth of Virginia, I can only offer you my encouragement and support to keep the pressure on the Senate Leadership to act on this bill before the current term of Congress expires. I understand that Sen. Stevens currently lacks the 60 votes necessary to bring the bill to the Senate Floor, so I hope you will work with him to convince your colleague that now is the time to act!
