I had boxed it up to take to a different location.

When I boot it up, I get the splash screen and then I get "no HDMI signal" on my TV.

I have checked the setup on the Edision's setup screen. Everything is in order.

I have also reflashed a different image using a usb stick (openvix-6.4.002.release-osmio4kplus) .

Still "No HDMI signal".

Is my STB toast?]]>

What Android app do you use to stream 4:2:2 video from an Osmio4K (or other rcvr) to your TV? On my PC I can use VLC and that works OK. I'd like to stream from my Android phone or tablet to my TV. On the PC I go to the Mio's web page and can stream from there. I tried the same on my phone but whatever app is being used to stream doesn't work. I don't know how to change the default streaming app to VLC.

Also assuming it works OK on your phone do you use...

Edision OS Mio 4k, What's the largest size external drive it can handle? I finally managed to get back into it, and am copying off everything. However, since I have to buy a new one, what's the largest drive somebody has been able to use on one of these? I suspect 2TB is the largest, but I don't know for sure.

It's not so easy to find NEW 2TB drives anymore, as they are considered pretty small.]]>

I'm looking at a few suitable STB's, but it occurred to me that I might also be able to use a small "real" computer running a full Linux, a DVB-S tuner, and ... some apps TBD.

An all-in-one STB is sure to provide a better out-of-the-box experience, but I'm an experienced Linux user/hacker and would be comfortable building my own system. But is that even practical?
Can anyone recommend...
