31716invalid@example.com (spahoose)spahooseI'm posting this here because I don't want to cause an avalanche on the main page. Today at work, I saw a most interesting thing. Customers that purchased their equipment had credits placed on their accounts that roughly matched the price of their recievers. The more receivers on the account, the higher the credit. There were no notes to explain why these credits were there either. (THIS IS PURE SPECULATION ON MY PART); could Voom Corporate be reembursing purchasers for equipment behind...

I found this article at the site listed above. Draw your own conclusions.
"Is Apple planning a high-definition video network? We definitely cannot attest to the reliability of Mac OS Rumors as a, um, rumor site, but they’re reporting that Apple is working on some sort of high-definition satellite TV network. Yep, we thought exactly the same thing: Voom 2? Despite the spectacular meltdown of that earlier high-def satellite network...

https://www.satelliteguys.us/xen/threads/anybody-know-about-usdtv.29440/
29440invalid@example.com (piperut)piperutI am in an area served by USDTV.
There website lists a few channels in SDTV.
Not really sure if this is a good option.
I think the PQ would be better then Dish or Direct TV.
I get NBC, ABC, CBS, PBS (actually 2 HD stations, and 9 SD PBS stations), Fox, and WB in HD off an OTA antenna.
USDTV lists ESPN, ESPN2, lifetime, Food Network, and a few others for my area. However, the channels list says these are in SD.
Not sure if this is worth looking into or not.

That’s the beginning of a poem I learned back in the ancient days of my youth. It made a significant impact on me then, and seems appropriate in light of VoOm’s imminent demise. Unfortunately, I’ve long since forgotten the author, so I can’t give credit where credit is due.
