I was going through my comp files and came across this gem. I took this photo a few weeks before Voom folded. (luckily I transferred back to CV just in time). It was photos of the possible models for the Voom elliptical dish.

I'm posting this here because I don't want to cause an avalanche on the main page. Today at work, I saw a most interesting thing. Customers that purchased their equipment had credits placed on their accounts that roughly matched the price of their recievers. The more receivers on the account, the higher the credit. Does anybody think Voom the satellite provider will every come back? Does anybody wish it did? I sure do, I'm frankly sick of the crap Comcast passes as HD and the cost of getting channels I do want and the hundreds of channels I don't.

Anybody know about USDTV?

I am in an area served by USDTV.

There website lists a few channels in SDTV.
Not really sure if this is a good option.

I think the PQ would be better then Dish or Direct TV.

I get NBC, ABC, CBS, PBS (actually 2 HD stations, and 9 SD PBS stations), Fox, and WB in HD off an OTA antenna.

USDTV lists ESPN, ESPN2, lifetime, Food Network, and a few others for my area. However, the channels list says these are in SD.

Not sure if this is worth looking into or not.

I have never seen a VOOM dish anywhere besides my own house. And, believe me, I look at rooftops all the time as I am driving, always looking for that VOOM logo! Still waiting to spot my first random VOOM dish! :shocked

Have you ever seen a VOOM dish where you had nothing to do with it? You didn't refer a friend, etc. Just spotted a random VOOM dish somewhere??

I would be very surprised if any of you were able to say "Yes!" But I hope somebody here can!

Voom's last week is "Turn Off TV Week"

It is ironic that Voom's last week of service coincides with "National TV Turn-off Week".
