27322invalid@example.com (nemisis633)nemisis633Hey everyone,
Just got done talking with a CSR and she reassured me that they would keep their promise of having the DVR ready by the end of the month. I explained how I was considering jumping ship due to the lack of a DVR and she said that voom WOULD deliver on its promise... Not sure how much thats worth.. but comforting at least.
cheers,

29116invalid@example.com (jagouar)jagouarCurious to see if anybody knows what new features the regular boxes will get in order to work with the DVR?
Id love some features added to the regular guide related to DVR recording (next showing, search, go back in time, etc). Just curious if anybody has a new features listing that the dvr will have (I saw it at ces and asked about the various recording formats, new eps only etc and the rep there said it would) but I really would like to see the regular receiver get the same treatment...
Okay guys first let me say that I've had Voom for close to a year now and love the picture that I get. I've been waiting and praying for the dvr from the beginning. I currently have to tivo dvr in my house now but was looking forward to Voom dvr for a whole house type of thing with me getting 3 or maybe as many as 5. With all of the worrying about the company and no message given lately about what is happening or what is the plan for the immediate future on the...
Cablevision and Time Warner Cable are preparing to offer DVR-like services without the DVR box, executives of the two cable TV companies said yesterday.
The two services would have somewhat different features, although both would allow viewers to store programs on centrally located cable servers rather than on hard drives in each home...

28280invalid@example.com (nemisis633)nemisis633Hey everyone,
Just got off the phone with a CSR and their new tune is "first half of 2005". Is anyone else considering jumping ship over the broken promises? It's so frustrating to me cause I signed up for voom based on the news they would have a DVR in march. My mom has one for free with dish network..

28446invalid@example.com (Lars)LarsAlthough I read about the use of Tivo with Voom, I never really gave it much of a shot since my Tivo is SD and I really want more glorious HD in my home. So, I have kept the Tivo connect to my cable TV in my bedroom and have Voom in my rooms where I have HDTVs. However, I recently finished my basement and bought a new Panasonic projector with 720p native resolution. Wanting to be able to time shift the concerts on Rave and some of the movies on Monsters, I dragged the Tivo down to the...

27455invalid@example.com (Andrew B)Andrew BJust a thought. Perhaps they are waiting to get more HD content before releasing the DVR. Think about it for a moment. Most of the programs on the Cinema 10 channels repeat over and over. Once we have our DVRs, they will only need to show a movie a few times a month and we will all have a chance to watch it or record it for later.
Once we DO have our DVRs, how many folks will complain that they are showing the Matt Helm movies AGAIN... (oh, and get more stuff on FU while you are at it!!!!)...

26372invalid@example.com (adidadi)adidadiWell, March is almost here and i couldn't even wait till now, so I jumped on the Adelphia Moxi for HD PVR, but I hate to maintain 2 services when all I need is for Voom to give us the DVR in March.
Voom promissed the DVR in November of last year, but failed to meet that date. Now March was promissed. WILL THEY MEET THEIR COMMITTMENT?
Any news, or solid speculation for that matter?]]>35Flash Sale Popup
