My late father was a die hard Phillies fan due to the fact that he was from Pennsylvania and the Philles AAA team was loctcated in our home town in during the 1950s. Since his death 12 years ago I have started to carry the torch for him.
Now the reason for this post. Ever since child hood I have had a fasination with Connie Mack Stadium. I still remember hearing Pee Wee Reese signing on the Game of the Week by saying...

The description is as follow: In 1953 the Boston Braves become the first major-league team in 50 years to relocate; drama, excitement and surprises await the team in Milwaukee.
Anybody see this? Mostly for us old timers or anybody interested in Milwaukee's major league past. I recorded it and will burn a copy for posterity and maybe a few for people who might be interested(Drop...

159086invalid@example.com (Mets82)Mets82I remember a debate about theme music back at dbsforums. It was about which theme music better. The NFL ON CBS, NFL ON NBC, NFL ON FOX etc. The infamous "Pots and Pans" theme, Monday Night Football theme etc.
As a matter of fact, what is some of the best theme music in each sport?
Here are some of some of those great themes:

146994invalid@example.com (Mets82)Mets82Your probably saying there are games on Jan. 1. I know that but remember the days were Jan. 1 was the day for college bowl games.none of what you see now. Games are played on Jan. 1 and then there still playing a week later. There are now bowls before and after the supposed BCS title game. I mean you have the GMAC Bowl and the International Bowl BEFORE the BCS title game. Is it me or is there something wrong with that?

152315invalid@example.com (SabresRule)SabresRuleNowadays, the AFC and NFC title games, in terms of which game is early and which one starts later, alternate every year.
From 1988 to 1997, the AFC title game on NBC always began early, followed by the NFC title game on CBS (later FOX).

one of the biggest things we have wondered about are the starting times of playoff games and how they changed ever since night games in the playoffs increased eventually in the late 70s.
(I think it was a good thing. Too many young people probably had to play hooky to attend those playoff games!)
I saved some of the old playoff schedules from DBSForums, and there were years when the ALCS and NLCS (This was before the Wild Card and Division Series) were...
