Going to try my new baby V9 reciever which will arrive pretty soon!

Going to be fun DXing narrow band audio and any rare super narrow band video feeds below 1.00 MBs into KBs world.

I think you will like the V9. Be sure to try and lock WPR on 99.

I have new firmware for the Amiko 4K UHD that can go down to a SR of 200. However I am not able to test it, I don't have Ku Band at all right now. I will have to get some volunteers to try it out.

I might be willing to test, Though my Amiko 4k seems to be on the fritz.

Here is the Test File. For the Amiko MINI 4K UHD S2X Receiver Only.
V1.0.69 Allows the User to Manually Set the Symbol Rate of a Transponder as low as 100.
The technical staff of the Demodulator said that the minimum should be greater than 200, and the locking will be relatively slow.
Please test on WPR on 99W and other very low SR Frequencies and let us know.

No sir, i have not I may have to post it elsewhere (maybe LegitFTA) to get some testers. Also, i now have new firmware for the Amiko MINI HD265 Receiver, same update, adding ability to manually set SR down to 100.

Forget LegitFTA for now, i get all sorts of errors there when i try to add an attachment. I started a new thread here with the firmware, maybe it will get seen by more folks. Forgive me k4otl if i hijacked your thread a little bit. Back to you friend.

Just FYI for those with the V9 Prime receiver; there is an official firmware update from GTMedia available. I installed it this afternoon and it seems to have improved tuning and SQ on several problematic feeds.

It is now 100 degrees F here in suburban Albuquerque, and the WPR mux is solid and sounding great.

Screenshot of WPR, booming in at 80-81% SQ on the 1.2m dish. Locked solid for almost an hour now.

I went to freesat.cn, unfortunately not able to download the files. Not authorized it's says.

However I just try my new V9 receiver to tune the narrow band station WPR by punching the frequency manually and the narrow bitrate 360 KBs and took about minute or two to lock it inand the signal quality is okay at 62 %, now when I scan in It did lock in station's ID with other 4 other subchannels, XDS Test PR 1, XDS TEST PR2, WPR Main, and WY Sounds.

Then I lose lock of the signal itself resulting signal intensity 51 Signal Quality 0 %.

Anyway, will keep trying maybe later tonight for the temperature cools down and try to lock it in steadily and get the sound to be heard.

Ran into other problems my thumb drive which won't work work with desktop computer.

My old thumb drive must be over 10 years and hardly used for.

So going shopping for a new thumb drive.

Will get a good one not just for files transfer but for video storage and 4:2:2 video decoding on the main computer.

Any good brands that will handle high video bandwith?

I would definitely get a SanDisk brand flash drive. They are the gold standard; maybe a 128GB stick if you can find one on Amazon.

PS- now that so many of us from this forum live in the ABQ area, I've been talking to my friend in Rio Rancho about a potential meet-n-greet for Satelliteguys members here. Maybe we could all get together at the Owl Cafe on Eubank sometime? Of course, anybody else in the region is welcome to join! Colorado, Arizona, SoCal.

Has to be daytime for some people that can't drive at dark. Some of us ether old-timer or disabled. Of course the day is much longer now so there should be pretty flexible for everyons out there.

I tried a 128 GB USB memory stick in my V7S5X last night and the receiver just locked up. I wanted to see if this could be used just for recording so I could time shift programs. A 1 GB stick works fine. I wonder if there is a maximum capacity stick that will work with the GT Media receivers?
