    Thanks. This is very informative. You said dish pass does not have ability to distinguish new episodes but I can see some of the recording being cancelled with a reason "duplicate event". This seems to me means that it is in fact doing some sort of "new episode" recording.

    I have Recoton V647 modulator. I don't know specs of that thing (it's on this page http://www.installersoutlet.com/modulator.html ). Switch at the back of modulator has 2 positions Ohm - 75K - 1K. Right now it's in 75 K. SO which amplifier is best in my case?
