I'm with you guys on really missing the double buffer function. Since I've had DirecTV I have never had anything but a DirecTV Tivo and DirecTV HD... unfortunately I had to switch for the new channels. I do like being able to scan the guide and list while watching either live tv or a recorded...

I've had Channel 498 until I just checked it now. I just had DirecTV come in and put the new dish and had to demote my prized TivoHD to the SD bedroom. I am getting 93001, but 93000 is black. I live in LA.

I have Discovery on 93001. Looks nice. 93000 is black, but I talked to my dad and he's seeing A&E HD. I'm in LA and he's in Minneapolis. When testing, can parts of the country not recieve the signal?
