any deals on 942 to counter the D* HDtivo deal?

Hi all, newbie here...thinking about jumping into satellite, and have been evaluating both camp. I know you can lease 942 for $250 a month back, but now that D* is selling $299-100rebate, want to know if 942 is free now yet or not. Thanks!
