if i purchase a dvr (used)like the 625, do i need the yellow card or a smart card, i do not have premium channels? or can i use the card from my old unit? thanks.

hi, i have a dual receiver 522 want to upgrade to dual recvr dvr. i was looking at the 625. is there another one below that? or what are all my choices? thanks again

i own the 522 according to dish. i may just sell this one and buy a 625. i just want to have a dvr on the one set not for both. that's why i figured the singel recvr would be fine. i know that the 522 is a dual but i didn't think i needed a dual dvr. thanks

i called dish and they are totally out of control over there. the dvr is clear, legal and all that jazz. come to find out can't use it because it's a single tuner. dish will not take back my dual receiver and give me 2 separate. question is: is there any normal way of hooking up this dvr...

? about dvd recrdr. what is the difference between analog tuning & digital when buying a dvd recorder? and what should i be looking for in the way of a dvd recrdr. again, i don't want to spend more then $90. thanks!

topcat: i HAD looked in a the owner's manual and it was unclear BEFORE i posted here. i couldn't find what i was looking for. so unfortunately you ASSUMED that i didn't. anyway other people were helpful!

there is a separator closest to the box and a diplexer. at a quick glance they looked like regular splitters.
