It's annoying and happens a lot. In all the years I've used DVRs, this has never happened until signing up with Direct the last few months. Not really a good excuse for it to happen since it didn't even happen in the tech's infancy. Get it fixed.

One thing I'm very unimpressed with regarding DirecTV is the On-Demand. For one should be more HD, I was really surprised when I first started checking it out. I have used it some to catch up on some series like Homeland, before signing up the only premium I had on cable was HBO. But it sucks...

I had no problems...but I did keep getting an automated call asking me to confirm my appointment, but it would just hang up on me whenever I hit "1" to confirm. I figured it wasn't working because you'd think it would give you some sort of confirmation and not just hang up. Installer showed up...

Guys what can we expect from this? Does it mean it will be different from the features listed at the top? I haven't updated in a couple months due to moving etc. and just got my service going at my new place today. Are things running a lot better? Was very buggy and laggy there for awhile.

My only major disappointment with DirecTV since I had it set up over two weeks ago is recording issues. I think I've had DVR service for 10 years or so going all the way back to ReplayTV and I've never had these recording issues until now. It doesn't seem to work like Dish or any cable provider...

Unfortunately I haven't noticed any difference with the latest CE. Two CE's ago, the first I'd downloaded, seemed almost perfect. Seems like regression from my end at least.

I actually have been using PIP on my HR34 for NHL games. Hell of a playoff race going on and nice to keep an eye on more than one game. I'm sure I'll use it for college football as well.

I was on the previous CE before it automatically updated me to national. If they were going to put one of them national it shoulda been the previous one. It was slightly sluggish for me but didn't notice any other bugginess. This national release is very sluggish and buggy though. It did miss...

I just noticed mine didn't record Person of Interest either..it was new last night, right? It recorded Touch though. Until now the only problems I've had is it records TOO much, sometimes stuff that isn't first run.

Blue guide was so slow it was almost unusable for me. So I did the CE...that wasn't perfect but pretty fast and almost bug free from what I could tell. Now this national release, it's bad. But still faster than the blue guide was for me.

HR34 also has picture in picture if that interests you. I've used it occasionally for sports.

I'm in a house with two people and it's still nice to have. Sometimes I'll just go through the guide looking for interesting things to record, especially with all the movie channels since I'm in the "3 months free" for all the premiums. I've noticed the guide being slower and sometimes you scroll and everything looks jumbled like part of the previous screen is superimposed, also Rotten Tomatoes ratings not showing for me. I have it off because of this, but on the CE if you have the scrolling animation on it isn't right, same...
