I know the Directivo had a setting for "pass-thru" mode to allow the TV to take care of the image processing instead of the receiver. Does the HR20 have a setting like this?

Understood, but the show never said HD before now. Besides, my shows only say HD when they are recorded from an HD channel.

I just checked my HR20 listings, and I have Mythbusters HD from channel 278 (regular Discovery). It has the little HD logo, and says "Hi-Def" but the show is clearly not HD when I watch it. Is this just a typ-o, or is 278 going HD?

Just call retentions and tell them you want a discount on your bill because Dish has a better deal and you may decide to switch to save the cash. If youve been with them for 10 years I dont think it should be very hard to get at least $5 or so off the bill.

Yes, I have the lease. I got it for free about 2 months before the HR20 was released. The I got the HR20 as an upgrade for $69 and still have the leased HR10.
