    mind baffeling service call

I just wanted to post this to see if anyone has run across, or even heard of it in the past. This is truely the weirdest thing I have seen in a long time I went on a trouble call today and found that the problem with the system is sound loss and a very noticeable popping sound coming from TV2...

E* Installer in Corpus Christi, TX?

the way it is now is most likely with a pro plus twin so you would either have to get them the 1000.2 dish, or would need a 34 switch (which is used most often as not everyone has the new dish) and that would require running 2 lines to each of those 322's. Thats where the complication comes in...

    New Install Questions

dish doesn't allow us to charge for "custom wiring" any more, ie: wall fishing. Only things we can charge for now is wiring over 200 feet, trenching over 50 ft, and mirroring. There may be some others but I haven't run into them yet

    Great Installer!!!

none is expected, give what you think is appropriate if you feel the installer went above and beyond what he was sent to do. Most installers have set fees for most things, but if he gets there and you change your mind about things and he has to do more work than would be normally expected then...

    Dish Network and FTA

Are you sure? I've always been told that dish leases some transponders from directv

    sharing service

That's kind of a stupid policy considering dish pays the initial equipment costs and if a person is only paying for a couple months of service a year they will quite possibly never recoup even half of it. I wonder if anyone has actually gotten in trouble for carrying their receivers with them to...

    "Essential Service" Package?

That's what I'm talkin about, I have watched boomerang for hours on end. Kids these days don't know what they're missing, cartoons these days can't stand up to mighty mouse, woody woodpecker, and yogi ;) As for the essentials pack, I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) this is the package that...

    sharing service

Well I know for a fact that directv allows that, and I have asked many csr's and other techs who have told me that same thing goes for dish. You have a link to anything official?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't really think it makes a diff

    New Install Questions

so you're saying that the cables in the rooms are hooked to splitters at one central location? If so, it wouldn't be hard for the installer to barrel the sat feeds to those pre-existing cables. He would need to use a dp twin, dp dual, and a 34 switch in order to do that, but that would give you...

    three hook ups

I was talking to the owner and another tech the other day...sounds to me like dpp33 is not too far in the future (thank God!) Jappleboy, there is one other way that I know to hook up that other receiver without having to run a second line to each receiver (if in fact you are using a dpp) and...

    The caller ID gets recorded

Never heard of this before, it'd be good to isolate the cause of it though. I never use the caller ID on my receivers, but I may start just to see if this happens

    New Install Questions

If you already have lines into the room you can use the same cables as long as it's rg-6 and not 59 wire...If you do not have cable to those rooms you will have to get them installed by wall fishing, drilling through the floor, drilling through the wall, or drilling through the ceiling. With all...

    Great Installer!!!

Ya but with my office I have to go to their house personally, regardless of where my route is. One time I drove 120 miles on sunday (my only day off) because a guy had unplugged everything and didn't know how to plug it back in right (of course when he called the office he only told them that it...

    sharing service

directv and dish both allow the receivers to be moved with the owner of the account. If you had two homes you could move the receivers back and forth between the two based on where you are living. According to the rules, all receivers have to be at one house, you cannot split up accounts. One...
