What it does is you turn it on and whatever the last channel was you were watching that will be on but you cannot change channels or see the guide. After a minute or so it works fine. I dont see a screen saying it is looking for a satellite or anything like that.

Happy holidays all! This may be a FAQ but I had to ask. My 722 when it first starts up wont let you change channels or look at the guide at all. It's like its froze up for a few minutes. After that it works fine but is the delay at start up normal?

Good afternoon all, I am dumping d* as of now and am having dish network installed tomorrow. Other than the amount of record time between the two is one of these receivers better than the other? Why am I changing? Well to make a long story short it's cost.

Dont like I too just noticed that I too have the new software/upgrade that installed on the 24th. I did like the ffwd feature. That acts more like the tivo did. What I dont like is that it has crashed twice since it was installed! You'll be watching a show and the screen will freeze up or just...
