    Thanks for the response. I as afraid that might be the case. Does anyone know if I'm correct about Direct TV using the tech that can deal with this? If so - why would Dish not also use it?

    I'm new in this forum but hope someone can point me in the right direction. I lost my long distant networks thru Dish. I live in an area not covered by ABC even with an antenna but the nearest provider is denying my waiver request. Can I do anything to get ABC long distant networks?
