i recomend slingbox hd....you can watch it anywhere in the world and you get a virual remote just like your direct tv one....i use it when i go to the cottage to watch my favourite dvr shows.....

Me either and i added to hd dvr boxes to my house last week.......not a peep about extending my contract....and i called twice.....

i have just relocated, and moved my recievers to buffalo from huston. I have been transfered for a year stint...any ways i get buffalo locals but have lost my national feeds of nbc, cbs, and other other national feeds...i checked my account info on direct tv webs site and my address and zip are...

they never asked me for one...when i refused....just make sure all your info matches....rules are rules and they have to follow their own policy on activating accounts....

I am sorry to say your are incorrect...first of all they have no legal right and don't demand your ssn but they will ask for it ...just say that you dont give out that info...they will be okay with it...and second of all if you dont ask for a install and buy you reciever at bestbuy and do a self...

remember....times are gettin tuff out there and in order for direct tv to get some of that hard earned bucks...they are goin to have to be more inventive.....that is why the tivo thing be alive and in stream soon....

thanks guys for the help...but why wouldn't i get these...i got them with my old dish and on the new dish they are between two other sats and i am getting there signal good?.....i miss my hdnet.......i get nothing on 110 on all the transponders...will a slight adjustment of my dish help...i self...

Why am i not getting anything on 110 all the other sats come in perfect...i am using a slimline 5 and a new hd plus reciever with the current update....any ideas...my old 3lnb got it clear....does it matter? thanks velvet

i am having the same prob with my slime line 5....it looses 99 and then it gets it back....i have has it professionally installed the great white north but i am still havin probs.....and give me a break i pay full price for my direct tv and don't sub out any receivers either so who am i hurting...
