    BS.. or?

Does anybody know or heard of what DVB-HDU is? Another thing, Iceberg, I don't mind generally but it would definitely help if the *original* thread had at least as helpful title than the one just closed. Thanks for the pointer though.

Myles, Do you have any idea what satellite and band they are using? I mean the RTN promotion... Oh, yeah and how much is the receiver? Thanks!

PCI DVB slave to PANSAT 2500A

I asked this question before but didn't get a definite anwer... Is it possible to control a receiver from a PC? If so, the PC (slaved to the receiver) could just send a command (via serial?) to the receiver to switch to a particular sat/polarity...

Spaun SUR 420 F uncommitted switch

If I remember correctly, there are 4 uncommitted bits that diseqc X.1 can use. Mode 1,2, and 3 allows you to pick a pair bits that your receiver will use to switch the inputs (1- bits 1 and 2, 2- 2,3, 3-3,4, if I'm not mistaken). In theory it is possible to build 64-head configuration using 5...

    CM 1.2m dish specifications

This is simply not true. Without LNB (but with arms) the dish registers at about 14 kg, which is less than 31 lbs. Standard Az/El mout is about 5 kg (11 lbs) more, and there are custom solutions that could reduce the mount's weight.

    Three LNBs C-band/Ku/DBS... No problem

OK, thanks spider, I guess that wheel is attached to a worm screw or something like it... Another question, did C-band performance changed at all when you cut the scaller to attach those Ku LNBs?

    Three LNBs C-band/Ku/DBS... No problem

Well, this question is not directly related to this thread. I'm talking about this photo. I assume you use adjusted angles when you position your dish, right?

    Three LNBs C-band/Ku/DBS... No problem

:shocked Wow!!!! :shocked What a setup, man! You are my hero! Do you mind me asking what are you using the elvevation servo for? I'd also be interested if you post some comparison between you feedhord-mounted Ku LNB vs. the Invacom. Great job! :yes

    2 KU band LNB's on a dish

I have 5 Ku LNBs (1 linear and 4 circular) on a stationary DirecWay 24x36 eliptical dish. I could post a picture but Iceberg himself will put me in jail if I do.

KU Polarizer/Adapter for C Band feedhorn.

That's exactly what I meant to say... I'm definitely not a trained expert in high-frequency radio wave design but my basic understanding is that performance of such devices is extremely dependent on their shape, which, in turn, depends on the wave length. This makes designing something...
