I share an account with my landlord and was wanting to get a DVR. He already has a DVR was told by DirectTV that I can only have one if it's also connected to a land phoneline. I only have a cell phone and have no plans on ever getting a landline. Are their any alternatives? Thanks, Tim...

I rent an apartment that includes Direct TV service and was wondering if I can buy a DVR myself and replace the current box. If Yes, do you have any reccomendations? It doesn't have to be new or an extremely large hard drive. I'm not looking to spend a bundle. My landlord is cool...but has zero...
