Oh yeah you r right sca. I think the download needs to go first before you get the 1 of 4 test, but the 1-12 check switch needs to finish. Then once you get the download the switches and Sats you need will show correctly.

Unfortunatley, You need to let the 1-12 checkswitch finish. Then as long as you have (reception verified). Then do a second checkswitch and you should see the normal "1 of 4". After that you should be able to take the download. It does take forever so be patient.

I found with the 722 that patience in definatley a virtue. First one I did on Eastern arc with the 1000.4 I called tech support and they said to do 2 check switch tests. As silly as it sounded, I did it and was able to get to download, It took so long I thought the reciever had frozen up, I...

I would say it should be ok just try to use full cable runs when possible

little long but should still be ok. If you are using barrels to connect cable you will lose some signal strength i would guess. Should try to run a full cable.

I have never used a torque wrench. even the instructions and tech support says tighten all connections hand tight.

Ok folks, It appears that the problem was in the 222 reciever. I did get it to work but it froze again so I replaced it with a 222K. Problem solved. I didn't find anywhere in the dignostics menu that told me anything concrete about which updates the reciever had. I only hope that Dish...

Yes, He is on Eastern Arc. I cant do service call until tomorrow (Wednesday 2/25). But I will Look for the "Download History" and report back. So I may need to replace 222 with a 222K?

That is a good piont. This particular customer works nights and doesnt get home from work until after Midnight. Maybe he is bypassing this and just doesnt want to tell me for some reason. I will ask. Thanks again
