I had resigned myself to the fact, that my old Panny Plasma without DVI or HDMI would eventually come up against a new HDTV STB without a analog connection. It does have component inputs, but I'd end up with a switching issue with the DVD player.
Well to my surprise I was reading up on the 2Wire DVR and it looks like it support not only the component inputs, but also has a DVI-I connector. The DVI-I is both Digital and Analog, so with a cheap DVI/VGA adapter, my PC connection on my Plasma is still in business. I sure hope that this 2Wire receiver ends up being deployed beyond just the traditional SBC DSL footprint.
