the direcPC dish is 39X24 and the Winegard is 31X32... What one would be best for FTA?

I would like to gather a lot of opinions on this.

The above dimensions are in inches.

I have both dish here and they are VERY similar in side by side tests. The DirecPC dish is slightly bigger but the LNBF is not as good as a low noise model. Another disadvantage of the DirecPC dish is the weight.

If you ever intend to motorize then the Winegard would be best, if you intend getting a New low noise LNBF and not motorize then the DirecPC dish would be best.

I have a DirecPC dish that is 39x23....works good for the wekaer signals but as PSB noted, the thing is HEAVY (almost as heavy as me) :D

A 30" dish with a .3 LNB will work as good as a 39x23 with a .6 LNB (which those DPC dishes have)

I was going to point the DPC dish at G10R tonight, however I can not find a mast for the damn thing.... It looks like 2 1/2 or 2 3/8 inch would work, but no one in this damn town of 50,000 has one.

I do have a 1 5/8 inch mast sticking out of the ground... Any ideas how to make a spacer?

The DPC dishes use 2 3/8" mounts

Both of mine (39x23 and 35x20) use these mounts...the 35x20 could have got by with a 2" if they made it (its no where near as heavy as the 39x23)
