Directv offers until March 3 a Free HD DVR if you choose the Choice Xtra package or above, plus $23 off for a month for a year, a really good offer I think, I was wondering if by calling the AAA number they will honor these offers

Too bad they don't give the AAA offer to existing subs, I've been with AAA for about 20 years now.

They will. Just called and ordered, got install date of 10/12/08.

An install date? Or is that just a code term for conversion date to the discount plan?

Not sure what you are asking. What I meant when I said install date was that is the day when the installer will be here to put in the DTV equipment.
