AM21 Off Air Tuner

Hey folks, new to this forum! Sorry if this question has been asked - I searched high and low for an answer.

I was with Verizon so I never had a problem ever accessing my local Philadelphia sports channels. I just got Directv installed without realizing that I will not be able to get certain Phillies and Flyers games through Comcast Sports Network. I saw that you can buy the AM21 Off Air Tuner through Directv that would work with the Genie to get unspecified off-air local channels but I am hesitant to fork over $50 and find out that I still can't get baseball or hockey. I now have a very miserable boyfriend at home.

Any one have any luck getting their local sports channels through this tuner? How great is the quality? Am I screwed out of baseball season?

The AM21 ota tuner with the Genie dvr will get you virtually all of the ota channels in your area. Comcast Sports Network isn't ota though.

AFAIK, it's only available on cable.
