My hard drive died and a new receiver is on the way but I no longer have service to the Joey. Is the hard drive needed for the Joey to function?
Are you getting a 311 error message on the Joey?
Try unplugging the receiver for 10 seconds then plug it back in. A banner w/ no picture is generally related to an authorization problem. Do you have a second Joey?
No, no second Joey and unplugging goes without saying. Are you saying that the bad hard drive Is not the problem?
Great! Exit out, and let me know if anything happens with the Joey.
Still no picture.
Are you able to view programming on your Hopper itself, or do you get the same issue?
Hopper works fine but the sling is also down.
Everything seems to be fine on the Joey otherwise, so at this point the best bet would be to wait for the replacement Hopper and see if the problem continues.
Maybe I will get lucky and they will send me a Hopper w/Sling.
No soup for you!You will receiver a Hopper since this is being replaced due to equipment failure. You would have to upgrade if you wanted a Hopper with Sling.
