Blue stain in dryer

Hi Folks,

I do have something in mind to ask around for help, please???

This is NOT and NO related to satellite stuff.

But I'm glad that my house guest isn't staying here much longer.
I don't think he knows how to do his own laundry.
He's a 6 ft 4 inches tall Samoan guy.


Does anyone here knows how to remove blue jeans stain off the
WHITE dryer drum????
IF you have a wife or a girlfriend, you could ask and maybe they know
the answer to this???

I tried using WITHE vinegar, mixed with DAWN soap with a rag
to try to scrub the blue stain off the white drum dryer.

That didn't work.

Before that, I tried bleach on rags in it and let the dryer runs
with cold air, NOT warm air, for half hour. Sometimes it works, but NOT at
ONE TIME. It takes several times.

So. I'm wondering in this forum, have anyone has any success in
getting rid of dye-blue jeans off the dryer drum???

Oh, by the way, IF you're curious, my dryer is white and was WHITE
inside, and the brand name is

"Kenmore" Series 500 and it's WHITE!!! Was WHITE inside.

He doesn't know how to do his laundry such as separate the color of cloths and
blue jeans. HE MIXED them ALL together, like 3 or 4 blue jeans at ONCE with
his other clothes. In both wash AND DRYER!!!

Hope all helps with answers before this big "tree trunk" Samoan guy comes back
within 2 weeks!!

No!! I'm NOT gonna PAINT the dryer drum WHITE!!! HAHAHAHA!!!

I suspect that plastic is forever tinted.

If you think about it, the worst that could happen is your whites look whiter due to any of the blue gassing out of the drum.

Google "dryer drum stains" for dozens of suggestions but make sure it is worth the effort.

I'd stay well away from any suggestions involving chemicals used in fixing dyes.

Hi Folks,


It's ME again.... I want to share with you
on the latest with the blue jeans stain on my
white dryer drum.

I tried using MR. CLEANER which is a
smaller pad. IT ONLY WORKS removing
the blue jeans stain on the TOP LAYER
of the dyer drum. Or in other word, the
TOP surface of the dryer drum.
But cannot scrub any further, deeper
than that.


Try again with the same MR. CLEANER pad
won't work, because it was ONCE already
removed stain on the top surface layer.
And won't do more deeper than that.

I can still see some blues, but not as
much as it was when I first started
using with the MR. CLEANER small pad.

To get another MR. CLEANER pad cost
only 3 bucks. It comes with 2 different
pad size. The smaller pad works, but
the bigger one, the thicker one, doesn't
seem to work on it. Just the little smaller
pad.

Any thoughts or suggestions on getting
rid of left-over blue jeans stain off of
white dryer drum??? In other word,
second layer or second codec. Or
which other you want to call it.

What do you think???

If it's not staining other clothes, why not live with it? A new tub probaby costs too much.

I agree with navychop. I seriously doubt it is staining other clothes. There is no reason to obsess over it and you might actually be damaging the drum by using an abrasive pad on it. Remember you are putting wet clothes in the dryer and, if you wear away the coating, you are leaving yourself open to corrosion. Then you will have to replace the drum, or dryer, and that won't be cheap.

that turned light BLUE!!!

MY white towels turned light BLUE
My white under short turned light BLUE
My white bed sheet turned light BLUE
AND my GOOD white shirt to wear
for an interview, turned light BLUE!!!

I didn't think you would ask.
But YES, it does effects on WHITE
stuff.

That article tells you how to remove both dye and ink stains, and perhaps what you actually have going is an ink stain rather than dye. Pay attention to both processes because they are different.

I believe it's caused by high heat and dryer sheets. I stopped using dryer sheets altogether.
