Can 501 HD be upgraded?

I love my 501 and am dumping the 921 becasue 2 units have both sucked so bad. the only problem with my 501 is the small drive and it is getting noisey with age. Is there a hack to put a large drive into a 501 and increase the capacity?

Yes. It is NOT trivial to do. Go to Yahoo groups "dishmod" - they can help you.

Note that the 501, 508, and 510 are the same box except for the HDD size.

Thanks! I'll look into ti. After all my 501 is rock solid and other than the small HD and it is starting to get noisey with age, I want to kepe it.
