We moved to Florida from New York last year and we miss watching live games on the Yes Network. We've been using MLB Extra Innings through Comcast, but at Best Buy the other day the DirecTV rep lured us in saying they have the Yes Network. So we signed up and then I went online and read that live games are blacked out outside of the tri-state region. We went back to Best Buy and specifically asked him if we WILL get live Yankee games through the Yes network and he said yes we definitely will. We are all confused now.

We live in Florida - will we or will we not get LIVE Yankee games through DirecTV's Yes Network???????????

No, you will still need to purchase the MLB Extra Innings package to watch live Yankee games. Yes is included as part of the sports pack minus any live games as those would be blacked out.. The games must be purchased separately through MLB Extra Innings.

You receive the Marlins, Rays or both depending on the zip of your location.

The package is a better deal with DirecTV because every game will be presented in HD. That is if you own an HD set and have HD service through D*..

nope

The RSN's will black out any out of market pro game.

In Florida you will get the Marlins or Rays depending on location. Around the Miami and Tampa areas are just that team but the rest of the state gets both on Sunshine (errrr Sun Sports) and FSN Florida

I am confused by some of the answers. Can't the OP subscribe to the Extra Innings package and get all games with no blackouts ? My wife if a yankee fan and we watch them all the time in Maryland.

yes the OP can subscribe to EI but their main question was could they view Yankee games on YES in Florida which the answer is no they cannot. They need to sub to EI

:welcome to Satelliteguys akaimeridia!

Since the YES network is available nationally on CONUS beams, you could "move" back to NY and then you would get the Yankee games. You would also get the big four local stations of NBC, ABC, CBS, and Fox, but not the other locals. They are on spot beams and not available outside of the NY area. BTW, I would go back to that Best Buy and get the name of the guy that told you Yankees games are available on YES in Florida. Clearly he was either uninformed or lying to you.

both and that is statewide.

if the op has the sport pak and extra innings, he could watch the yankee games (including pre and post game) directly on YES!
