Cassette tape adapter for IPod

I have been to a couple of local stores looking for a cassette tape adapter for my IPod to use in my truck, but have not found anything. Does anyone know if they make one for the IPod? And if so, how good is the sound quality? I already have a Sirius radio hooked to my truck, so I need another way to hook up my IPod.

They are all over the place. I have a belkin one that works fine. Sound quality is fine. I have used one for about five years.

It does not need to be special for the Ipod. Most of them accept the line out feed of any device.

I think you can find them at Circuit City, Best Buy, Radio Shack, etc. They're pretty common.

They sound fine for what they are. Just as good as a cassette tape.

Thanks for the response. During the process of finding one locally, I have come across the type that plugs into a cigarette lighter and uses a FM signal wirelessly. These are much more expensive than the cassette tape adapter, but I wonder if it's a higher quality sound than the cassettte tape adapter? Has anyone tried using both kinds, and if so, is there a difference in sound quality?

NO. they suck. You will constantly be having to change the frequency; the quality is NOWHERE as good as the cassette adapter. I have an FM transmitter like that, and was forced to use it on a 1200 mile drive in a rental truck in March. If you have a cassette player, get an adapter. You will not regret it.

ACTUALLY WE ANSWWERED THAT BEFORE YOU ASKED---- the caSsette adapter route is SUPERIOR to wireless FM modualtion. In fact I think it si superior to the "direct connect' FM modulAtion.

Not all cars have cassette players and in fact fewer do so I can see why some go the FM modualtion route. But if those are the choices I would choose the cassette adApter hANds down.
