In this film set during the two-week Cuban missile crisis in October of 1962, Kevin Costner stars as Kenny O'Donnell, special assistant and personal friend of President John F. Kennedy, who along with other government figureheads spend the next thirteen days grazing the possibility of an all-out war breaking out against the Soviet Union.
