The Boilermaker State (#19)
Clete Boyer, one of the best fielding third basemen in the history of the game died yesterday, June 4, 2007 in Atlanta, Ga at the age of 70 as the results of a massive stroke.

Clete and his brother Ken made history in 1964 by being the first brothers to oppose each other in the World Series. When their Mother was ask who she was rooting for, she simply said "the team that's batting."

Just came across this, was going to post and see Jim has already posted about it. Here's the obituary from the Atlanta Journal/Constitution:

He was my favorite player of all time. I loved him when I was a kid. I argued many times with my cousin from Landover, Maryland between Clete and Brooks Robinson, and which was the best. I think we were both right.
RIP Clete!

The Atlanta Journal Obituary has the late Kenny Boyer mentioned as one of 3 of the brothers (of 14 kids) who made it to the majors. Cloyd Boyer being the other brother, who also played for St. Louis and K.C. Atheletics. Clete started his career with the K.C. Atheletics in 1955 before going to the Yankees in 1960. Ken and Clete opposed each other in the 1964 World Series.

I remember hearing about Ken, but I have no idea who Clete is.
