Color Banding

Hey Guys, new to the forum, I was wondering if anyone has noticed sever color banding on the VOOM HD channels, I have a panasonic TH-50PHD6UY, and it is very noticable, I was wondering if it was do to mpeg compression of the VOOM signal ?

Can you explain what this "color banding" looks like?

It is really noticable on the cinama 10 promos, with the green backgrounds, as the color goes from light to dark you see distint bands of color it is not a smooth gradient

NO, but I often see a faint whitish horizontal bar that quickly scrolls to the top of my screen and then it is gone.

Anyone else see this?

Are you talking about the bar displaying programming information?

I called Panasonic and they called it jailbars, they came and took my plasma to test it, and said they could find nothing wrong with it, they suggested there might be a bad decoder in the voom box, scheduled a service call with voom

I'll try and post some pictures of the problem tonight
