Actually it looks like it also can not play LIVE XM in portable mode

That is correct. They announced that initially when the Samsung deal was announced. They did however see one with XM 2 Go would be available later. I wonder how much this thing is going to be. It comes in either 25 or 50 hours and includes the home dock, the car kit is optional.
