I recently consolidated tv's and found myself with an extra HDVR2 box (standard def, not HD).
It is a Hughes Tivo box for DirecTV. Selling it w/ remote for $45 plus shipping if anyone is interested.
I have heard of this being upgrade-able, but that is not my bag.
