DirecTV on my PC's monitor?

What do I need in order to watch DirecTV on my PC’s monitor? What about HD-DirecTV? I have a widescreen HD-ready monitor.

I guess I do want it going directly to my monitor. But can I have both my DirecTV receiver and my computer hooked up simultaneously, and then switch between them?
