Does anyone know how to access the weather app on a Genie?

Isn't there somewhere you go and it displays the weather forecast.

If you are connected to the internet use the right arrow button.
That should pull up the list of apps.
They can also be accessed by going to: menu>apps>launch TV apps.

As mentioned, with internet, arrow to the right, apps load and Weather is one of them, from there go in and select the cities you want.
Then you can get the local temps as well as a forecast.

What if it's not connected to internet?

Customer has hughesnet and I don't think the directv installer hooked it up

No Internet, no Apps as far as I know.

Yup, you need internet for the apps.

Ok good. I thought the receiver loaded everything and then simply sorted it by zip code like the old dish receivers (3900 open tv) used to do
