Dish DVR External HDD

I had my hard drive connected to the DVR acting as extra storage. I cleared the HDD and would like to use it with my PC again. What do I need to do to get my external HDD recognized by my PC again? Any help would be appreciated.

Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Computer Management/Disk Management...find the drive and reformat.

Thanks for you assistance. I realized that Windows 7 wasnt recognizing the Linux formatted drive so I had to get an add-on that would recognize it. From there it was as simple as a reformat.
