I am upgrading to a a dish reciever 811 for HDTV. My current set up is a twin LMB for 110 and 119. I also am running a 61.5. (I just canceled Skyangel). I currently get the top 120 and I have local cable (Basic service) that I use for my internet so I get my local channels with that package. Should I be able to also recieve Voom. Dont know if it matter were I live but I live in North East TN.

Thanks

Steve

Yes its still hooked up. I know very little about voom. It may be nice to have since its additional HD Programming.

My reception of voom on 811 at 61.5 from Nashville area is good. I have watched voom for the last two years with alot of reruns, but for $5, it's worth it IMO.

Are you getting your locals from your cable company in SD or in HD ?

If you are not in top 20 DMA, but are within 20 miles to nearest city, you might want to consider plugging an antenna into your 811 for OTA HD.

I am about 65 miles away and can only get Fox, ABC, and PBS OTA HD, but they look awesome compared to regular SD locals from E* or from cable.

When will i be able to get the rest of my locals in HD?

MPEG-4, what's the big deal!
