As much as I dislike big cable, there was nothing preventing EchoStar from bidding on Adelphia. Perhaps Mr. Ergen should start his own programming business...hell, I'm sure there is a huge demand for that masterpiece called Charlie Chat.
I got lost in all the legal babble. Is Dish basically saying they should have access to Comcast/Time Warner exclusive programming such as the CSS sports network? I live in an Adelphia service region and have long hated the fact that I can't get CSS.
Sounds more like a deal. E* in exchange for access to Comcast owned programing on E*'s terms will not object to Comcast obtaining Adelphia.and creating an even larger monoply in local areas. There argument is that this will better serve the public good and create a more competitive market.
OMG...if we could get ComcastSports Net in HD....now that woudl be sweet. I'd pay 10 dollars a month for that one channel. Also INHD...That would be a wonderful day!!!
