Wow! Starting to wish I had a dish pointed at 77 West.

I just motored my 90cm over to 77w and scanned for life. Still only 4 TP's are physically active that I can see with my size dish.

digiblur can see 77 west, but there is likely not many signals there as there is not much in the way of signals from EchoStar 12 spotbeams, yet. This is more likely preliminary activity very similar to the activity which preceded the launch of EchoStar 10.

I can see that this is just preliminary, but it does look like they intend to see just how healthy 77 West is now, by checking every transponder. The plan may be to use E4 if it's healthy enough, or move something else there when the new satellites go up.

could the reports be opened as a locked thread and a discussion forum be opened daily so that the changes are discussed on a daily basis instead of on a "change" basis? I can just see a lot of comments might get lost if they're posted in a change forum

How so? I would think the comment would be more productive too if it were outside of an uplink thread for those of us who would like to discuss the latest changes.

Also, I dont see how what happened was blackmailing. These guys pay out of pocket for a lot of expenses. Not too much to ask for support and reward those who do.
