Division II baseball record falls Saturday

Minnesota State Mankato and Bemidji State combined on Saturday to break the D2 record for hits in a game. Record was 52, they combined for 56

Oh by the way the mercy rule kicked in......not until the 8th though
Minnesota State won 41-20 in the 2nd game of a DH. They won 10-9 in the 1st game

couple guys got 7 AB's in a 8 inning game

oh by the way. MSU swept today 14-4 and 23-1. 2nd game 7 innings
MSU is ranked #7 in D2

Kinda feel bad for the SP for Bemidji in game 2.Obviously with the bullpen depleted he was out there no matter what

15 hits

but then again the relief pitcher went 1/3 inning. 6 runs 6 hits
