Does D* universal remote work with DVR?

I just bought a R10 and i cant get the remote that came with my D10-300 ( the directv universal remote) to work the unit. is there a way to fix this? also what about the $100 rebate, The guy on the phone mentioned nothing about it. Will they send it to me or do i have to call and ask ? (by the way, the DVR fee has gone up to $5.99/mo.) Thankyou.

I know that the new "DirecTV" universal remote "white colored" works with the D10. I have 2 of them.

You need the new white universal remote. It looks just like a D10/H10 remote.

it will work dont know the codes off hand, but the rebate form comes with your bill

There was a rebate form that u could print out from the directv website.
