I'm currently running two dishes into a dp44...then a single wire down to my 942 where a separator splits the signal into 2 for both inputs.
I'm wanting to somehow split the signal so I can run a 301 in addition to the 942. I've tried using a splitter...but it doesn't work. If I connect the 301 by itself, it works fine. But when I add the 942 I get problems with the signal (difficulty aquiring sats). I think it's because they're both trying to power the switch...and that can't be good.
Any suggestions? I suppose I could run another wire from the switch...but I'm in an apartment and it's on a 2nd story steep roof - not very accessable.
Thanks.
