DSR-708 Question

I had a HR20-700 installed in my living room and it replaced a DSR-708. I also have a DSX-5500 in my bedroom. The DSX-5500 is a non DVR type of receiver. I have tried connecting my DSR-708 to the coax where my DSX-5500 is connected and it just ends up searching for signal and never finds it. I have tried hooking it into SAT1 and SAT2 and have swapped cards back and forth from the DSR-708 and the "working" DSX-5500.

Is the cable that currently works and is connected to my DSX-5500 carrying a different type of SAT signal than what the DSR-708 needs?
