DTV setup in Canada

Hello

I just had a question.

I currently have a US address with DTV and would like to bring the receiver to Canada (already have a dish set up).

Do I need to activate the receiver when it's in Canada (hooked up) or if it's activated in the US will it work when I bring it to Canada???

Please advise asap

It will work either way but might as well activate the sucker & make sure it's working here; that way you can eliminate any 'receiver issues' & focus on the dish/transponders causing any problems once in Canada.
