Receiver DRV625. This is really a general DVR question. When watching "live" TV, am I really watching realtime "live" TV or am I watching the "recorded" program. In other words, does the receiver 1st receive the programming and records on the HD then converts it to audio/video to be seen or does the receiver receive the signal, does its thing to convert it to audio/video before recording it to the HD. It would be nice if we could optionally select which way we receive. Perhaps, and I'm speculating, is that if it behaved in the latter scenario, we may be able to get better picture and audio quality. Before DVR, a basic receiver didn't have picture quality problems like others and myself are experiencing.
