Video Internet Protocol Television (ViP-TV) provides over 300 channels of secure broadcast quality popular television and radio programming, encoded in constant bit rate (CBR) MPEG-4 H.264 format, via EchoStar's high powered Ku band satellite at 85° longitude to Telco, private and rural cable operators, municipalities and master planned communities that have obtained rights for distribution over their wire-line networks. Local broadcast channels are available in over 165 designated market areas (DMAs) in standard definition (SD) and 34 markets and growing in high definition (HD) format.
