Keith Olbermann is expanding his role on ESPN Radio’s Dan Patrick Show (1-4 p.m. ET), ESPN Radio announced Tuesday.
Beginning Monday, Nov. 28, Olbermann will co-host the 2 to 3 p.m. hour with Patrick, reviving their “Tag Team” chemistry when they co-hosted SportsCenter. Since Aug. 5, Olbermann has joined Patrick’s radio show for one hour each Friday.
For the Olbermann-Patrick hour, Patrick will continue to host from ESPN Radio studios in Bristol, while Olbermann will join him from ABC Radio Networks studios in New York.
“Dan and Keith sound like they’ve been doing this forever, and now with the expansion to five hours a week, we don’t intend to control them, we can only hope to contain them,” said Bruce Gilbert, general manager of ESPN Radio.
Currently host of MSNBC’s Countdown with Keith Olbermann (8 to 9 p.m.), Olbermann helped launch ESPN Radio in Jan. 1992. He co-anchored SportsCenter until June 1997.
In addition to hosting The Dan Patrick Show, which airs on 339 stations, Patrick anchors ESPN’s 6 p.m. SportsCenter and writes for ESPN The Magazine.
