Ethernet Port on rear of HR20-700

New to the forum.....looking for some info about the ethernet port on the rear of the box. Is their any use in having it connected to internet at this time? if not, when does DTV plan on supporting it?

Yes, it is active.

Current beta testers on the hr20-700 are downloading Video on Demand via the ethernet port. You can also use the hr20-700 in conjunction with WMP11 and view/play pictures and music files. All of this is a work in progress
