Ext. HDD Enclosure ??: USB Chipset: Which one is the best?

Is there a consensus on what USB chipset is the best/most stable being used today? Most problems with external drives connecting and maintaining sync is because of the quality of the chipset used…so I was just wondering what other peoples experience was as to "which is the best.

Whatever is in these has been working well for me, I got a couple of them about a month ago, stuck a 250GB in each and not a single hiccup so far:

Since the power switch, usb connector and activity light are all on the back, I flipped them around so I can easily flip power and move the usb cable from one to the other.
