This neat unit was bought for my TV! The set didn't have a "variable' output to feed the audio to my standard stereo, and this fit the bill! With this box feeding either your "tape loop in" or an auxiliary in, you add (4) inputs to your existing (classic, non-remote controlled) stereo and you can adjust volume, bass, treble, balance, fade, and mute. It's quite the little box for ANY audio person who loves their older receiver but wants it to be remote controlled. All of the ones like this you may see have a built-on cord, this one has been "engineer modified" to take a standard computer cord of any length, standard cord included.
This is NOT designed for modern HDMI stuff, but would be fine with component audio, anything done with standard L and R inputs and outputs.
It was replaced by a sound pedestal recently, but would be GREAT in any home with a classic stereo that needs to have remote control added.
If your TV set has only a "fixed' audio output, or BADLY eq'd variable, this box can help you by keeping the TV set on "FIXED" and running the audio into this box, then routing to your stereo. Supplied remote can train TO other remotes that accept IR signals, too!
